The 74th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair launched this week at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, hosting more than 1,300 exhibitors from Thailand and international markets. Organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) as the main organizer in collaboration with the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT), the event benefits from support across government and private-sector agencies, as well as 17 key industry trade associations. The fair expanded to cover 2,800 booths across eight halls and three plenary rooms—the largest setup in its history—occupying the entire G and LG floors at QSNCC.
Vice Minister for Commerce Kirida Bhaopichitr emphasized Thailand’s position as a top global player in gems and jewelry, leading colored gemstone exports and ranking second in silver jewelry shipments. She highlighted how the country’s strengths in quality and longstanding trade relationships have cemented its role as a leading hub, with gems and jewelry among Thailand’s top three export industries. The fair is projected to attract 45,000 attendees and facilitate over $160 million in transactions, further solidifying Bangkok’s status as a critical industry center. Ms. Kirida noted that the event aligns with the Ministry of Commerce’s Market Leads Production policy, which actively promotes Thailand as a dependable global trading partner.
A new addition this year is the Designer Zone, a space where emerging designers can engage directly with manufacturers and buyers. Alongside this, The Craft of Brilliance exhibition celebrates Thai jewelry-making traditions by tracing the history and evolution of local craftsmanship, while The One To Watch platform highlights winners from the reality series The Secret Gems: Discovering Thailand’s Top Jewelry Creators. Additional offerings include on-site gemstone authentication services provided by GIT, professional networking sessions, and specialized industry workshops. The Networking Reception specifically supports international business connections, complementing the fair’s focus on supporting new partnerships.

According to local reports, the fair’s expanded scale reflects Thailand’s growing influence in the sector, with exhibitors and visitors set to explore innovations in design, craftsmanship, and market trends. This year’s full utilization of Halls 1–8 and Plenary Halls 1–3 at QSNCC reinforces Bangkok Gems’ position as an international hub for gems and jewelry trade.
