The Beaverbrooks Group, a family-owned retailer specializing in diamonds, jewellery, and watches, reported stable financial performance in a year marked by economic challenges. Group turnover held steady at £217.0 million, a slight dip of 0.1%, while like-for-like sales rose by 1.1%, adding £2.4 million in revenue. The company’s resilience stood out in a difficult retail climate, where broader UK spending remained cautious.

Underlying operating profit fell by 9% to £7.8 million, reflecting higher labor costs tied to increased National Insurance contributions and the National Living Wage. However, total operating profit jumped 49% to £12.8 million when including a £5 million insurance claim. The financial results show the company’s ability to maintain profitability even as cost pressures mounted.

Anna Blackburn, Managing Director of The Beaverbrooks Group, attributed the performance to a long-term strategy focused on customer experience and product quality. “Our business has remained strong for 107 years because we believe in the high street and the importance of exceptional products and customer service,” she said. The company continued investing in its workforce, digital capabilities, and store upgrades, ensuring a cohesive experience across physical and online channels.

Product innovation played a key role in driving growth. Beaverbrooks expanded its offerings with new diamond and jewellery collections, including True by Beaverbrooks, a fully traceable diamond line. The retailer also strengthened partnerships with brands like Coach, Nomination, and Astley Clarke, while deepening collaborations with TAG Heuer and Breitling for exclusive watch releases. These moves align with a broader push to modernize the brand while retaining its heritage appeal.

Store investments are accelerating, with a refurbishment program underway through 2026/27. The Lakeside location will undergo significant expansion, and the flagship Trafford Centre store will introduce a new concept. The company also opened its fourth Loupe boutique in Sheffield, joining locations in Milton Keynes, Preston, and Croydon—all of which serve as official Rolex stockists. Additionally, the group is constructing an 80,000 sq. ft. head office, set to open next year, as part of its long-term growth plan.

Beyond financial results, Beaverbrooks emphasized its commitment to community impact. The company donated £1.54 million to charitable causes in the past year, bringing its total since 2000 to £26.6 million. Employees contributed £66,803 through fundraising, matched by the company, while 625 days of paid volunteering were logged. The Beaverbrooks Blackpool 10K, an annual event supporting Trinity Hospice, raised £112,745, up from £84,990.59 in 2024. The retailer’s charitable efforts extend to over 500 local charities annually, reinforcing its role as a corporate citizen.
